PURPOSE:To enable good coating by preventing the excessive outflow or exhausion of a coating solution, in an applicator for paint, liquid cosmetics or liquid medicine, by forming the slide plug provided in a coating solution receiving chamber into a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:A slide plug 5 consists of the seal part 6 elastically contacted with the inner surface of a coating solution receiving chamber 1 at the coating solution rear end position of said chamber 1 and a wt. part 7 having center of gravity G at the lower position thereof separated from the position of said seal part 6 and having a cross-sectional shape smaller than the inner diameter of the chamber 1. In using the applicator, the slide plug 5 is tilted to the direction shown by an arrow in a definite angular range alpha by minute vibration and inertial force generated by coating operation and the seal part 6 is changed from static friction to dynamic friction to perform falling advance with the consumption of the coating solution. In such stationary state that a coating head body is held upwardly, the slide plug is engaged with and held to the inner wall of the chamber 1 by the engaging force of the sea part 6 and, because the outer air does not enter the chamber from the side of the coating head body 3, the dry-up in the head body is not generated. |
