<p>PURPOSE:To remove mercury in exhaust gas with high efficiency, by using acidic water as the recirculation water of a cooling/absorbing tower and providing mercury removing equipment for selectively collecting mercury in acidic recirculation water. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas generated in a garbage incinerator is guided to a cooling/absorbing tower 11 and contacted with acidic recirculation water in a front stage recirculation water system 15 to be cooled while mercury contained in the exhaust gas is removed. Next, the exhaust gas is contacted with the aqueous NaOH solution is a post stage alkaline recirculation water system 16 to remove HCl in the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas issued from the cooling/absorbing tower 11 is cooled and dehumidified in a dehumidifying tower 12 and subsequently heated by a reheater 13 to be exhausted from a chimney 14. A part of acidic recirculation water is sent to a mercury removing line 17 and cooled by a cooler 18 while impurities and heavy metals other than mercury are removed in a flocculating/filtering tower 19 and a general chelate tower 20 beforehand and mercury is subsequently collected and removed in a mercury chelating tower 21. A part of acidic recirculation water is treated in a waste water treatment apparatus 22.</p> |
