A disconnectable coupling for plastic pipes and fittings consists of a threaded mid-portion, a conical clamping ring, and a flanged nut. The thread on the mid-portion holds the thread on the flanged nut. The clamping ring lies at least partly in the bore of the mid-portion, and the end of the pipe meets the flange of the nut.
