发明名称 Assembly with fluid through-flow, with pistons reciprocating in cylinders, such as pumps, motors or internal combustion engines
摘要 The advantages and disadvantages of twin piston engines and free piston engines are analysed. In so doing it is found that the free piston engines, owing to the need to brake the kinetic energies of the piston, are technically difficult to control correctly for high frequencies. In addition abrupt pressure and power peaks and troughs also occur. New engines are therefore proposed in which the reciprocating movement of the free piston is controlled. In addition twin engines are revealed, which are easy to control and cheap to manufacture and which function without the conventional valves or with simple valves. As a result even high-revving internal combustion engines are possible which for a low weight are capable of delivering great power to the crank drive or in fluid flows. These new types of engine therefore promise great power for a low weight so that it no longer seems out of the question that in terms of the power-to-weight ratio they might almost equally be used in aircraft. In a mathematical analysis the provisional theoretical bases are created for the design calculations of such engines. <IMAGE>
