A cable entry is proposed which can be screwed into an opening in a housing wall. It is intended to be possible to produce the cable entry with a low technical outlay. For this purpose, the cable entry (10) consists of two identical shell parts (11, 12) made of die-cast metal. In the axial direction, the cable entry has first, second and third coaxial recesses (23, 26, 28). The first recess (23) holds an annular outer conductor contact (24) for the outer conductor (25) of the coaxial cable (13). The second recess (26) contains a hollow-cylindrical sealing element (27), with a centring opening (38), for the inner conductor (30) of the coaxial cable. The sealing element encloses the inner conductor insulation (36) of the coaxial cable. The third recess (28) is used for the free passage of the inner conductor (30). The two shell parts (11, 12) are held together in a sprung manner by means of at least one circlip (16). <IMAGE>
