For standardization of the means available for supplying the handpieces of a dental treatment instrument with working media it is proposed that the supply device for the provision of these working media be equipped with servo-controlled pressure regulators and that the corresponding servo drives be controlled by control signals obtained by comparing the signals delivered by setpoint generators and actual value sensors for the media pressures.
