PURPOSE:To perform electronic photography with a wide dimming range by turning on the (n-1)th automatic dimming electronic flash and the (n)th automatic dimming electronic flash which has the quantity of full light emission larger than its quantity of full light emission and a minimum value of light quantity control smaller than the quantity of full light emission in order. CONSTITUTION:When two automatic dimming electronic flashes are used, those electronic flashes are so set that GN2min<GN1max<GN2max, where GN1max is the quantity of full light emission of the 1st electronic flash 10, GN2min is the minimum value of the light quantity control of the 2nd electronic flash 20, and GN2max is its quantity of full light emission. The number of EV stages of light emission quantity control ranges of the 1st and the 2nd electronic flashes 10 and 20 are denote as N1 and N2 and the quantity GN1max of full light emission of the electronic flash 10 is set 2<1/2> time as large as the minimum value GN2min of the light emission control of the electronic flash 20. Then, the total light emission quantity control range of the 1st and the 2nd electronic flashes 10 and 20 is (N1+N2)-1 and expanded. |
