The invention relates to an electrically operated device for processing and preparing foodstuffs of all kinds, having a casing to accommodate the electric motor and the switching and control devices associated with it, and having a working shaft which can be driven by the electric motor, the upper end of the said shaft projecting into a sleeve-like projection, which is open on both sides, on the floor of a reception container, an insulating sleeve being fixedly connected to the said upper end. This insulating sleeve is used to accommodate an adaptor in a releasable manner, which adaptor interacts with a working tool. Furthermore, the device has a lid which can seal off the reception container and has feeding nozzles. A working tool is available which is used to extract juice from foodstuffs and comprises a comminuting disc which is adjacent to the feeding nozzle and a passing disc which is preferably arranged at a distance from the comminuting disc. Two catching chambers are arranged downstream of the passing disc, one of which chambers is covered by a screen and is used to catch the juice and the other of which is used to collect the foodstuff residue.
