<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for new wiring, to facilitate element inspection and speed up it, and to simplify processes by providing an element which inspects whether there is a defect in TFT element.wiring or not in a display picture element of a matrix display. CONSTITUTION:This display device consists of a TFT element 1, signal electrodes 2 and 2A, scanning electrodes 3 and 3A, a picture element electrode 4 composed of a transparent electrode such as ITO, a resistance element, and an element 5 for a means which applies a voltage from the signal electrode 2A to the picture element electrode 4 such as a capacitor. Then, a display electrode formed of a transparent electrode, etc., in an open state before liquid crystal is charged in a normal active matrix display is coupled with other wiring electrically by a resistance, a capacitor, etc., and characteristics of TFT and the state of wiring are measured and inspected, thus taking measurements inside the display device securely with the simple constitution.</p> |
