The application relates to a micro-COD apparatus for hydrogen chloride determination, which makes it possible to achieve the objectives of the previously known (see references) COD filter cartridges even on a micro scale. It consists of a small filter cartridge made of sintered special glass, quartz glass or a plastic having the porosities 0, 1 or 2, merging with a glass tube or plastic tube having a silicone seal with a teflon sleeve clipped over it and ending in a standard ground joint sleeve. This cartridge is inserted into a commercial COD tube having an external diameter of 16 mm and thus permits COD determinations using small amounts of sample.
