PURPOSE:To provide thermal recording paper imparting good printing density, having chemical resistance, oil resistance, water resistance, sticking resistance and blocking resistance and advantageous from an industrial aspect, by containing polyvinyl alcohol and a specific curing agent in at least one layer selected from a thermal layer, an intermediate layer and a protective layer as an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:Polyvinyl alcohol and a curing agent expressed by general formula (wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are hydrogen, halogen, a 1-6C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon residue or a 1-20C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon residue having an ether bond) are contained in at least one layer selected from a thermal layer, an intermediate layer and a protective layer. As a thermal recording material, one formed by applying at least one thermal layer to a support may be used and, further, one or more of the intermediate layer and the protective layer may be provided. As the colorless - light colored dye precursor used in a thermal color forming layer, a triarylmethane compound, a diphenylmethane compound, a xanthene compound, a thiazine compound, a spiropyrane compound and a diazo compound etc. are designated. |
