PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive rice cake having a high market value, by using a mixture prepared by adding a Japanese radish to nonglutinous rice as a raw material. CONSTITUTION:Roast pork, Japanese radish and ham are cut to a somewhat thick thread form, and the resultant threads are dried. A shrimp or lobster is then added thereto. The resultant mixture is heated over a strong fire and quickly fried by adding a seasoning thereto. Rice flour is kneaded with water, and fine rice-powder is kneaded with hot water respectively to give kneaded rice flour and kneaded fine rice-powder, which are mixed with the above- mentioned fried material and lard. The resultant mixture is thoroughly kneaded to afford a kneaded material having almost uniform structure, which is rolled into a beltlike material in a rolling machine, and the beltlike material is steamed in steam for about 30-40min, cooled in forced air draft to give a beltlike rice cake. The resultant beltlike rice cake is then cut to a given size, frozen and preserved. Thus, the aimed rice cake 1 in the form of cut rice cake is obtained. |
