A room filter unit for shelters, consisting of a filter part and a normal air part which can be inserted between end sections of the room air feedline via corresponding connection attachments under normal air conditions instead of the filter part, is to be improved by an operationally reliable connection of the two components. According to the invention, this is effected by the fact that the filter part (1) and the normal air part (2) form a piggy-back arrangement and that quick-acting attachment elements (8, 9; 18, 19) are provided for connecting the two parts and/or for connecting said parts to the end sections (5, 6) of the room air feedline (7). <IMAGE>
