A process for preparing improved macroporous cross-linked copolymer particles capable of being converted into ion exchange resins involves forming free radical matrices in an aqueous suspension medium in the presence of an organic phase separating agent. A mixture of monomer(s), such as styrene and divinylbenzene, is fed into the mixture under polymerization conditions. The macroporous copolymer particles so prepared which when converted to resins exhibit improved physical properties. |
