PURPOSE:To improve drivability by installing a revolution regulating means which regulates the revolution on the turbine side of a torque converter and operating the revolution regulating means when the shift position of a transmission is in neutral range or parking range in warming operation state. CONSTITUTION:A controller 25 controls a control valve 26, brake operating actuator 16, etc., and in the bypass air control by the control valve 26, the aimed idle revolution speed is set higher than that in the ordinary case for a prescribed time after the start in the case when the engine is cold, and warming is accelerated. In said warming operation the shift position of a transmission 2 is set into P or N range, and the warming operation is carried out when the engine temperature is below a prescribed value, and the revolution on the turbine side of a torque converter 3 operating a brake 17 is regulated by the actuator 16. Therefore, increase of the engine revolution speed is suppressed, and the generation of noise and vibration in warming can be prevented. |
