The invention describes antihypertensive agents of formula <CHEM> in which R<1> is a phenyl group substituted by defined substituents, R<2> is C1-C6 alkyl, R<3> is a group of formula <CHEM> where R<7> is independently hydrogen or defined substituents, R<8> is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl or C1-C6 alkoxy, R<9>, R<1><0> and R<1><1> are independently hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, n is 0,1,2,3 or 4; s is 1,2,3,4 or 5; p is 0 or 1 providing that when R<8> is C1-C6 alkoxy p is 0, or R<3> is <CHEM> where m is 1,2,3 or 4 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Also described are processes for preparing the compounds, intermediates used in such processes and pharmaceutical compositions containing the active compounds.
