<p>The gun turret for an armoured vehicle has pivots which can be adjusted to be horizontal. This is done using a disc with an opening inside which the gun is pivoted. The disc is able to rotate and its principle axis can be inclined to the horizontal and to the vertical. The central opening of the disc has an inflatable seal. Sighting is provided by an optical sight which is fixed firmly to the disc, using hinged ties. The sight is an eyepiece fitted in a goniometer.</p> |
