PURPOSE:To obtain the toner which has a good preservable property, is added with a charge control agent in a smaller amt., is inexpensive and does not impair fixability by welding an island-shaped polymer which consists of the same kind of the polymer as a spherical polymer particle which contains a coloring agent, has the glass transition temp. higher than the glass transition temp. of the spherical polymer particle and carries the charge control agent to the surface of the above-mentioned spherical polymer particle. CONSTITUTION:This toner consists of the spherical polymer particle 1 contg. the coloring agent and the island-shaped polymer 3 existing on the surface of the spherical polymer particle. The island-shaped polymer 3 consists of the polymer of the same kind as the above-mentioned spherical polymer particle 1 and has the glass transition temp. higher than the glass transition temp. of the spherical polymer particle and carries the charge control agent. The polymer existing on the surface is not spherical but island-shaped in such a manner, by which the degradation in the degree of coloring over the entire part is obviated even if this polymer is not colored. Since the spherical and island-shaped polymers are of the same kind, the bondability of both is good. Further, the charge control agent is deposited on the surface of the toner and the island-shaped polymer carries the charge control agent; therefore, the required amt. of the charge control agent to be added is decreased. |
