PURPOSE:To obtain different kinds of plated steel sheets with the same plating line by setting a small-sized auxiliary plating pot in an existing plating pot and supplying different kinds of plating liquids thereto. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary plating port 4 is set on the inside of a main plating pot 1 and a plating liquid consisting of required components is continuously or intermittently supplied into the pot 4. A strip S after passage through the main plating pot bath A is conducted to the auxiliary plating pot bath B and is passed therethrough. Plural stages of dam rolls 6 are provided in the lower introducing port of the pot 4 to prevent mixing of the main and auxiliary plating baths. The plated steel sheet having the plating films of the two-layered construction is thus obtd. The strip S is passed in the stage of removing the pot 4 in the case of performing plating with only the port 1.
