PURPOSE:To keep excellent gap accuracy at the state of core assembly by assembling a shield and a spacer to a single core assembly formed by butting plural cores and whose gaps are well arranged and formed with high accuracy and polishing the assembly until each component is exposed. CONSTITUTION:Blocks 87, 88 are stuck and fixed to the single core assembly 84 formed by butting and fixing right/left side cores 82, 83 at the right/left side face of a reference core 81 via spacers 85, 86. A channel shield 89, channel spacers 90, 91, a center shield 92 and center spacers 93, 94 are fitted in crossing from the lower side of the core assembly 84 and stuck and fixed. The assembly 80 has a couple of a write gap 95 and a read gap 96 and another couple of a write gap 97 and a read gap 98 and they are formed all in the core assembly 84. The channel shield 89, the center shield 92 and the spacers 90, 91, 93, 94 are exposed finally by polishment. |
