<p>PURPOSE:To increase both the reading image resolution and the lifetime of an input device by using an operating pen, a description/non-description sensor which detects a description or non-description state and a shift position detecting mechanism serving as a shift position sensor. CONSTITUTION:When a patterns, etc. are drawn by an operating pen 1, a description/non-description sensor 2 detects the variation of the writing pressure and delivers the signal showing the writing state to the host side. Thus the host side starts the graphic processing. Then the pen 1 is shifted to a position shown by a broken line from the position shown by a solid line. Thus a photodetecting sensor 5 moves similarly to the pen 1 via a pantograph type link mechanism 7 of a shift position detecting mechanism 3. Then the photodetecting elements 5A and 5B of the sensor 5 cross a grid 8A and delivers the signals informing that the elements 5A and 5B cross the X and Y coordinates each time. Therefore the absolute position corresponding to the point indicated by the pen 1 is read out and the prescribed graphic processing is possible by integrating the position reading signals sent from the sensor 5 at the host side.</p> |
