PURPOSE:To make unnecessary and simple the delaying circuit, to eliminate the jitter and to improve the measuring accuracy by photoelectric-converting the signal for the trigger and the measured signal passing through the inside of the sample fiber and adding to the oscilloscope. CONSTITUTION:The output light of a fiber 4 for generating the Raman scattering is applied to a sample 6 through an attenuator 21, the output light is applied to a spectroscope 5 through a half mirror 22, the light of an optional wavelength lambdais extracted, the extracted light is converted to the electric pulse by a photoelectric-converting device 7 and applied to a signal input terminal SIG of an oscilloscope 8. On the other hand, a part of the output light of the sample 6 is branched, only the light of a constant reference wavelength lambda0 is extracted by a filter 23, the light of the wavelength lambda0 is converted 24 to the electric signal pulse, and applied to a trigger signal input terminal TRG of the oscilloscope. Thus, the delaying circuit is unnecessary, consequently, the jitter due to the delaying circuit is eliminated and the measuring accuracy can be improved. |
