A power transmission device which is capable of absorbing an impact applied thereto during transmission of power includes a rotating shaft 2, a transmission member 8 loosely fitted on the rotating shaft, and a resilient member 15 provided between the rotating shaft and the transmission member. The resilient member is made of an incompressible material and has three or more free surfaces 15a.
