PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization of an optical head and further miniaturization and thin profile of an optical memory device by applying polishing to an outer face of an objective lens barrel, fitting the barrel polishing face to a bearing made of a polyfluoride ethylene group resin, sliding the face so as to restrict the direction of focus movement. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens 10 is stored in a lens barrel 11, a peripheral 21 of the barrel is polished to decrease its sliding resistance. Further, the barrel 11 is fixed with an arm 17 connected to a focus coil 12 and the movement of the coil is delivered directly to the objective lens 10. The focus coil 12 is wound in a rectangle to surround the objective lens 10 and a tracking coil 13 is sticked to each corner (in total four). The objective lens barrel 11 is contained neatly in the bearing 14 made of a polyfluoride ethylene group resin, the focus movement of the objective lens is restricted by the position movement between the barrel and the bearing and the tracking movement is executed by the horizontal movement of the bearing itself. |
