PURPOSE:To obtain an adsorbent for protein which can adsorb a large amount of protein per unit quantity and can be produced by a simple method at low cost by using a gel composition containing water obtained by causing peroxodisulfate to react on liquid persimmon tannin. CONSTITUTION:Peroxodisulfate (e.g. potassium peroxodisulfate, ammonium peroxodisulfate, sodium peroxodisulfate) is dissolved into persimmon tannin. By leaving said liquid as it is for a few minutes, a gel composition containing water is obtained. The composition is left as it is for curing and thereafter it is homogenized to form it into particles with proper diameter, and washed with water to prepare an adsorbent for protein (gel composition containing water and active carbon may be mixed together). The adsorbent thus obtained is put into a column, whereby raw sake (gahanese rice wine) for fresh sake and ordinary sake to caused to flow therethrough to adsorb protein (a batch method may be employed). By this method, the amount of adsorbed partein per unit quantity is large in comparison with water insoluble fixed tannin and said adsorbent can be produced by a simple method at low coast. |
