<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration of the capacity of an electrostatic filter due to long-term use by providing a suction port, a duct collector, a blower and a blowoff port and providing an earth electrode plate to the air passage provided in the vicinity of the electrostatic filter, on the side counter to a charging electrodes through the charging electrode and the electrostatic filter. CONSTITUTION:The tobacco smoke or dust in air sucked from a suction port is ionized in a preparatory charging part consisting of a discharge electrode 2 to which high voltage is applied and an earthed counter electrode 3, and subsequently collected by the electrostatic filter 6 arranged on the suction side of a blower consisting of a blade 4 and a motor 7. A malodorous component is adsorbed and removed by a deodorizing filter 7 to return clean air to a room from a blowoff port. An earth electrode plate 9 and charging electrodes 10 such as the discharge wires or needle electrodes counter to the earth electrode plate 9 and receiving the application of high voltage are formed so as to sandwich the electrostatic filter 6. The electrostatic filter 6 is always held to a charged state by the charging part in an air passage 8. By this method, the life of the electrostatic filter can be extended.</p> |
