PURPOSE:To make a read check on printing media by the electronic reading of a voice function by providing a voice reproducing means on a portable display reproducing device which incorporates a battery and has a character or graphic display means. CONSTITUTION:The cartridge 2 constituted by mounting a ROM-IC on a printed board of postage stamp size is inserted into a main body part 1 with a liquid crystal screen and the power switch is turned on by opening a cover to make operation ready. Electric signals are sent between the main body part 1 and cartridge 2 through a connector. A current page number being displayed on the screen and the final page number are displayed at the right lower part of a liquid crystal display panel 3. A page turning-over function is classified roughly into a manual and an automatic function; and forward feeding and reverse feeding are possible in manual mode and pages are turned over in order at an optional set speed in automatic mode without page turning-over operation. When an earphone 7 is plunged in an earphone jack, the pages are turned over associatively with a reading voice output. |
