PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of installation of a belt conveyer having a plurality of motors and to facilitate the maintenance of motor brushes, by connecting an autotransformer to a low output power motor to adjust the primary side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A belt conveyer 1 is driven by a pulley 3 attached to a speed reduction gear 4 for an induction motor 7 and a pulley 2 attached to a speed reduction gear 4 for an induction motor 6. The induction motor 7 is connected to a power source 11 through a switch 10 while the induction motor 6 is connected to the power source 11 through an autotransformer 8 and a switch 9. Accordingly, when the load allocation of the induction motor 6 is greater than that of the induction motor 7, the terminals of the autotransformer 8 are changed over to increase the primary side voltage of the induction motor 6. As a result the torque of the induction motor 6 is increased to be equal to the output of the induction motor 7, and therefore, no secondary resistance is required, thereby it is possible to greatly reduce the maintenance of motor brushes. |
