It is previously known to produce intersection walls in log cabins, where the timber units in one wall are offset vertically in relation to the timber units in the other wall. There is a problem in making the walls impermeable. According to the present invention, it is possible to make a timber unit 1A in one wall lie in the same plane as the corresponding timber unit 2A in the other wall by on the one hand providing each intersecting timber unit 1A and 2A with a transverse pair of grooves 7 and 8, where half the groove 7 and 8 respectively of each groove in a pair of grooves 7 and 8 has no bottom, and by on the other hand joining adjacent timber units 1A and 1B together by tongue 5 and groove 6. <IMAGE>
