The method entails measurement of the actual geometrical shape of the load bearer location. The crane is moved past position indicators (5) fitted on columns (1a-1d), the value for the position determn. component on the crane being recorded when each position indicator is detected. - The thus measured values are used to calculate the correct position for discharge or withdrawal for delivery of a load bearer. The lifting carriage is guided to that position by the calculated values. |
