<p>PURPOSE: To provide a hollow fiber permeater having an improved flow dynamic performance by eliminating the problem of bypass flow by permitting fluid permeation accompanied with a sweep fluid permeation in an axial flow relationship with a feed fluid with respect to gas separation with permeation gas sweep. CONSTITUTION: This fluid separation device 1 comprises a shell 4, a hollow fiber membrane bundle 5, a center core tube 8, a film barrier 3 and tube sheets 9 and 15, also is provided with, a fluid feed stream entrance port 2, an exit port 10 of a nonpermeation stream, a sweep fluid entrance port 12 and a sweep fluid-permeate exit port 16, and also holes 7 on center core tube 8, an uncovered portion 6 of the hollow fiber membrane bundle 5, hollow fiber core openings 11 and 14 in the form of slots or notches in the tube sheet, a tube sheet face 13, an O-ring 17, a threaded ring 18, thread 19, a cylindrical plug 20 and an annulus spacing 21.</p> |
