<p>PURPOSE:To lower the manufacturing cost of an equipment and to reduce the head of a feed pump of raw water by lowering the height of the whole equipment of an organism membrane filter. CONSTITUTION:An organism membrane filter is constituted so that raw water is supplied into a treatment tank 1 in which a filter layer 2 formed of a granular filter medium is formed and filtration of raw water is performed by microorganisms propagated on the filter layer 2 and backwash water is discharged from a discharge port 7a connected to a backwash discharge pipe 7. The dimensional ratio of the height of the filter layer 2 and the height to the discharge port 7a from the surface of the filter layer 2 is regulated to the range of (1:0.1)-(1:0.5). Thereby the height of the whole equipment is lowered without deteriorating filtration efficiency. The manufacturing cost of the equipment is lowered and the head of the raw water treating pump is made small.</p> |
