PURPOSE:To carry out stable control of knocking from a low speed to a high speed by providing a device for judging the intensity of knocking which is classifying into cases for each defined pulse number range and varying the threshold value of said classified case in accordance with the number of revolutions of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A knocking detector 1 detects vibration, sounds, etc. due to the knocking of an internal combustion engine. An A-D converter 5 converts a detected signal from an analog signal to a digital signal. A microcomputer 6 averages the output signals from the A-D converter 5 and calculates the judging level of knocking, while varying the threshold value of a classified case in accordance with the number of revolutions of the internal combustion engine. Thereby, it is possible to carry out stable control of knocking from a low speed to a high speed. |
