摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To increase the width accuracy of a rough rolling sheet bar by grasping the plate width behavior in rough rolling correctly from the observed value measured at the stand outlet side of a rough rolling mill and by reflecting this actual plate width behavior in setting the width rolling reduction allowance. CONSTITUTION:The plate width control is performed by adjusting the rolling reduction allowance of a press type slab width rolling reduction device 2 at the inlet side of a rough rolling mill R1.... The rolling reduction allowance of the device 2 at slab feeding start time is decided by the schedule calculation based on the target value W1 at the R1 mill outlet side decided by the necessary sheet bar width and the slab width measured at the measuring point 3-1 at the device 2 inlet side. The rolling reduction set value of the device 2 is corrected based on the difference in the actual width W1' measured at the measuring point 3-2 of the R1 mill outlet side and the target width W2 when the R1 mill starts the rough rolling. For this correction the observed value in the rolling mills after the R1 is utilized similarly. The width accuracy in the rough rolling sheet bar can thus be increased.</p>
