PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in optical characteristic due to the deformation of the main body by forming integrally a metallic reinforcement member on a part fixed to at least a carriage in the pickup main body made of resin as raw materials and a part mounted with a light source. CONSTITUTION:The metal-made reinforcement member 21 is formed integrally on a part fixed to at least a carriage 15 reciprocating along guide shafts 18a, 18b of the pickup main body 19 made of resin as raw materials and a part mounted with the light source 1. Thus, the rigidity of the pickup main body 19 is increased, no deformation takes place at assembling or the like and the deterioration in optical characteristic is prevented. Since the light source 1 is fixed directly to the metal-made reinforcement member 21, the heat dissipation efficiency of the light source is increased and high service life constitution is attained. Moreover, since the reinforcement member 21 is formed integrally with the pickup main body 19, the manufacture and assembling are facilitated and the manufacture/assembling efficiency is improved. |
