PURPOSE:To obtain a positive image having high maximum density and low minimum density by changing the energy distribution of light irradiated for whole image exposure at least once during the whole image exposure and regu lating the ratio between the extents of the photographic effects of the whole image exposure on silver halide emulsion layers to <=20. CONSTITUTION:When a silver halide photographic sensitive material having two or more internal latent image type silver halide emulsion layers having different photosensitive wavelength ranges on the support is subjected to whole image exposure, the energy distribution of light irradiated for the whole image exposure is changed at least once during the whole image exposure and the ratio between the extents of the photographic effects of the whole image exposure on the silver halide emulsion layers is regulated to <=20. Thus, a fine positive image is obtd. by an optical fogging method with an internal latent image type direct positive photosensitive material. |
