ROLLING DUAL MODE MISSILE

The system comprises a cylindrical missile body mounted at the front a hemispherical dome capable of passing infrared radiation. Two radio frequency antennas such as telescoping dielectric polystyrene rods are mounted diametrically opposed at the front of the missile body. A spinning magnetic gyroscope arrangement having optical elements to receive in frared radiation is mounted behind the dome. The signals from the RF antennas are fed to microwave mixers respectively. The mixers are driven by a local oscillator.
