PURPOSE:To attain electrostatic charging characteristics stable for a long period and good cleaning characteristics by using a fine powder containing a carrier coated with a fluorinated alkylacrylic (FAA) type polymer, a toner powder, and the FAA type polymer having an average particle diameter smaller than that of the toner powder. CONSTITUTION:The developer is composed of a fine powder containing the carrier formed by coating a core material with the FAA type polymer, the toner powder, and the FAA type polymer having an average particle diameter smaller than that of the toner powder. It is preferred to use said fine powder coated at least on the surface with said FAA polymer from the viewpoint of cost, and further, to use the developer having such a composition permits the toner remaining on a photosensitive body and the like to cause no poor cleaning even after repeating a large number of copies by the addition of the fine powder, deterioration of development ability to be not liable to occur, copy image density not to drop and not to be affected by high temperature and high humidity, and the photosensitive body not to be liable to be scratched, and not to suffer toner filming. |
