<p>PURPOSE:To enlarge the capacitance which can be secured in an additional capacitance electrode by forming the additional capacitance electrode between a first insulating film and a second insulating film. CONSTITUTION:An active matrix substrate 15 provided opposingly against an opposed substrate 19 by installing a liquid crystal layer 20 between them is provided with an insulating substrate 1, a first insulating film 3 and a second insulating film 8 in this order from the outside to the inside, and on the surface of the opposed substrate 19 side of a second insulating film 8, a picture element electrode 9 for executing a display is formed like a matrix. In such a state, an additional capacitance electrode 10 is formed between a first insulating film 3 and a second insulating film 8. Accordingly, since only the protective insulating film 8 is interposed between the picture element electrode 9 formed on a second insulating film 8, and the additional capacitance electrode 10, the capacitance can be enlarged enough, and an effect of providing the additional capacitance electrode 10 can be obtained enough. As a result, the image quality is improved and high definition can be obtained.</p> |
