PURPOSE:To make it possible to set a control amount of a switchback running as desired, by setting data to compute a negative acceleration to the pressing angle of an accelerator pedal at different values respectively for different driving conditions, and controlling the clutch depending on an adequately selected data. CONSTITUTION:An automatic transmission 3 connected to the engine 1 of a fork lift through a clutch 2 is shifted to the low and the high stages by a shift converting actuator 7, and to the forward, the backward, and the neutral stages through a forward/backward shift converting actuator 8. In this case, the data to compute a negative acceleration to the pressing angle of an accelerator pedal are set responding to the different driving conditions. By comparing the negative acceleration depending on a selected data through a selecting device and the actual negative acceleration at the time, the connecting condition of the clutch 2 is controlled to make the actual negative acceleration equal to the negative acceleration of the accelerator pedal pressing angle. |
