PURPOSE:To enable forward movement of a device by means of wind in all directions without an external power and control, by a method wherein the one of the rotary shaft of a windmill having plural rotary vanes is supported by a link rotating within a horizontal plane, and the other thereof is supported by a link rotated within a surface inclined at a specified angle. CONSTITUTION:When a ship hull 1 is sailed forward against wind coming from a left front, a rotary vane 12 is inclined rightward, and an arm 7 is also widely rotated toward the right side. In which case, when the ship hull 1 is steered leftward for turn, since wind W blows against the ship hull 1 from the front, the arm 7 is further rotated and is rounded to the stern side, and the rotary vane 12 is brought into a turn to a position within a horizontal surface. When the ship hull 1 is further rotated leftward, the wind W blows from a right front, and when the wind is blown against the rotary vane 12 from the right side, the arm 7 is further rotated and rounded leftward, and an arm 10 is rounded rightward. Thus, a shaft 14 is turned to the left, and when the rotary vane 12 receives the wind W to produce a lift, the ship hull 1 is moved forward as it receives the wind from a right front, and during said forward movement, a special rotation brake force is not exerted on the vane 12, and rotational movement may be continued. |
