PURPOSE:To reduce noise from a head touch mechanism, by a method wherein a solenoid is used to press down a thermal head against a platen and a limiter spring exerting a depressing pressure on the thermal head is provided within the solenoid. CONSTITUTION:A plunger in a head depressing solenoid 46 consists of a solenoid plunger A70, a solenoid plunger B71, and a limiter spring B40b, with a solenoid lever 38 integrally formed with an end thereof 30b. When the solenoid 46 pulls up the plunger, it pulls the solenoid plunger A70 up to the end and through the limiter spring B40b pulls the solenoid plunger B71. At this time, the limiter spring B40b exerts a constant depressing pressure to a thermal head 6 through the solenoid plunger B71, a connecting pin 47, and the solenoid lever 38. In this manner, actuation of the limiter spring B40b at the time of impact of the plunger reduces the impact noise, thus realizing a mechanism of reduced noise. |
