PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer type thermal recording sheet having an excellent drying property and sufficient recording sensitivity, by providing a modified starch layer wherein a dye is dispersed in modified starch and a sealing film applied to the surface opposed to a thermal head of the modified starch layer so as to prevent the leakage of the modified starch material. CONSTITUTION:A transfer type thermal recording sheet 4 consists of a modified starch layer 6 wherein a dye 5 is dispersed in modified starch and a sealing film provided to the surface opposed to a thermal head of the modified starch layer 6 so as to prevent the leakage of the modified starch material. When this recording sheet 4 is heated from above through the sealing film 1, a part of the dye 5 in the modified starch layer 6 is eluted to recording paper and the resulting eluted dye comes to recording. By this method, the transfer type thermal recording sheet having an excellent drying property and recording sensitivity sufficient from a practical aspect is obtained. Further, a pref. result is imparted by containing a surfactant in the modified starch material. |
