Dam device for a water course, for supplying a diversion channel, followed by an irrigation channel enabling the gathered products to be transported on water. The device according to the invention employs standardised caissons, forming a base and on which so-called "water vein" elements are superimposed until the height of the dam is reached. These liquid veins may be closed off and thus enable the retained water level to be adjusted and the diversion channel or channels to be regularly supplied. This makes it possible to add a bridge deck to the upper part of the dam and to include one or more bulb turbine generator sets in the veins, in order to produce electricity. <IMAGE>
