The present invention relates to a breathing assembly enabling diving to be performed to a few metres of depth, while breathing freely thanks to an air supply. It comprises a diving mask 1 equipped with a special connection 2 which receives the flexible supply pipe 4 consisting of two conduits, one for breathing in air 5, the other for breathing out 6. Two shutters 3 and 10 force the air to circulate in the correct conduits. On the surface, a float 7 receives the supply pipe 4 which ends in the shape of a crook in order to prevent the entry of water. The float 7 comprises air-entry and water-discharge orifices 8 and is equipped with a fastening ring 11 and with a nest-type fitting 12 for fastening a diving pavilion thereon. The device which is the subject of the invention is intended for amateur sailors who wish to dive, without fatigue, close to their craft, or who wish to repair damage below the waterline. It is also intended for introducing people to swimming or to diving, and also for research at a shallow depth. <IMAGE>
