Twin-chamber container

A twin-chamber container (10) for receiving two filling components which are to be prepared to form a ready-for-use liquid or pasty preparation prior to removal from the container. The container consists of two container chambers (12; 14) which can be filled separately, can be fitted together in a position one above the other and are closed off relative to one another by a separating element which forms at least part of the bottom wall of the upper container chamber (14) and closes the lower container chamber (12). Said separating element can be opened by a ram element (26) which can be actuated from outside so that the components can flow together and be mixed with one another. The separating element is a closure stopper (16) which is inserted tightly in a passage between the upper and the lower container chambers (14; 12) and can be displaced from the passage into one of the container chambers by vertical displacement of the ram element (26) engaging on it. <IMAGE>
