In a drilling apparatus for shafts which preferably has a plurality of drilling machines, designed as core drilling machines, an anchorage in the shaft lining and at least one frame which can be secured by means of the anchorage in predetermined drilling horizons of the shaft and in predetermined radial positions of each drilling machine, one or more boreholes being made from a base of a platform movable in the shaft, provision is made according to the invention for the frame to be designed as a drilling support ring which is closed upon itself, carries a cantilever for mounting each drilling machine, can be fastened to the shaft lining and also has a plurality of holding rods which lead upwards and to which the anchorage is attached, which has anchor bolts interacting with bores made by the drilling machines of the drilling support ring, the anchored drilling support ring being movable by a limited stroke relative to the anchor bolts and being lowerable with the anchorage in the shaft.
