In the case of a plug security device having a hollow insulating flat housing which has on its upper narrow side an opening under which a fuse link is arranged such that it can be seen, which fuse link connects plug contacts (which project downwards from the lower narrow side of the flat housing) to one another, and having a covering part which is arranged on the upper narrow side, covers the opening in the flat housing and has retaining projections which protrude into the opening, it is provided that a plurality of covering parts are arranged in a row to form a strip-shaped belt, mutually adjacent covering parts being connected to one another within the belt by means of connecting elements. The connecting elements are preferably constructed as connecting webs which are in each case integrally formed on mutually facing edges of mutually adjacent covering parts. <IMAGE>
