The invention relates to an apparatus and a process for the wet treatment of a strand-like textile-fabric web which is guided in an especially careful manner through a plurality of sections within the apparatus. The aim of the invention is the careful and economical treatment of the textile-fabric web, along with the assurance that the quality of selected ranges is safeguarded. The object of the invention is to avoid mechanical frictional and sliding stress on the textile-fabric web. According to the invention, the apparatus is formed from a fabric store changing from a container to a fabric channel and has a reaction zone with an additional feed region, a transitional zone with laying and pushing nozzles, and a temperature-regulating zone with a liquor chamber. The textile-fabric web is surrounded on all sides by the treatment liquor, which flows through it radially and axially, and is guided free of sliding friction in a floating manner through the reaction zone, is selectively plaited after passing through the transitional zone, is carefully laid in the temperature-regulating zone and is fed without mechanical friction to the deflection and transport device. <IMAGE>
