What is described is a device for preventing the manipulation of insertion slots of machines and other appliances to be actuated by magnetic cards, the insertion of the card being preceded by a block-like device, in which a pivoting stop blocks the insertion slot by means of a spring held by two stop bolts which laterally engage the opposite edges of the pivoting stop and are themselves moved to the side during the insertion of the correct card and which release the pivoting stop which is then pivoted to the side by the card.
